Up to 11. Moving from CLB 6 (4 points) to CLB 9 (15 points) is the largest single factor gain available to most applicants, and it typically takes about six weeks. Because scoring uses your lowest ability, targeting the one weak band is usually more efficient than improving across the board.

Up to 15 points. The City of Toronto scores 0 on the region factor, the GTA excluding Toronto scores 5, Eastern, Southwestern and Central Ontario outside the GTA score 10, and Northern Ontario scores 15.

It adds 5 points, taking the Canadian credentials factor from 5 to its maximum of 10. Compared with a language retest at up to 11 points in six weeks, a second credential is usually the slower and more expensive route, but it can be worth it if you are already studying or if language is maxed out.
