How to use this properly
- Estimate each of your last five years, not just the current one. Run the tool once per year if your income has varied.
- Use gross figures. Take home pay will place you a band too low and cost you points that are actually available.
- Confirm against the actual Notice of Assessment. Ontario scores the assessed figure, and an estimate is only for planning.
- File anything outstanding. An unfiled year cannot be claimed even if it was your best.
